Siasia: Nigeria are in it to win it at Olympics football
The Under-23 team breezed through the group stage at the Olympics as they qualified as the top team with wins over Japan and Sweden.
They lost their final Group B match against Colombia, but returned to winning ways in the quarterfinal as they eased past Denmark with a 2-0 victory.
Up next is Germany, who beat Portugal 4-0 in their last-match, and Siasia says they need to stay focused on the job at hand.
"We are here to win. You cannot come this far, go through what we went though, then just give up," he said.
"We will do everything we can to make sure we will get the gold medal."
Should Nigeria see off Germany, then there is a good chance they will meet Brazil in the final as the host nation have looked in imperious form during their 4-0 group match win over Denmark and the 2-0 quarterfinal success over Colombia following a sluggish start.
"We saw what they did to the Danish team. They are a good side. They did not start well, but the most important thing is how you end," Siasia added.
